Welcome to a new phase for gRally.
you’ve been not hearing anything from us since a while, we apologize for that. So, you might wonder, has gRally finished his life already? No, of course.
We’ve been working on some stuff, specifically on the graphical department. What we’re trying to do is to create a baseline to be used to start the development of new special stages and to do so we’re using the Baitoni Bondone stage as dummy and as a training ground. It’s a very demanding stage that is pushing the graphical engine to the limit therefore, we’re working hard on optimization and on learning, since Unity is evolving quickly and new features are coming out. So, we spend a lot of time testing all the new functionality in order to see what we can implement to gain FPS or to have stunning effects. We’re still learning how to fully use the potential of this software.
Sometime the introduction of new features have dramatic impact on gRally because the new version of Unity maybe is not supporting anymore a plugin we’re using therefore we need to investigate alternatives and this is something time-demanding. To be earnest with you, this phase is taking too much time or more than we forecasted, but we think that we’re investing the time for something that will be useful in a near future.
This is the reason why we took some decisions. The first one, is to refresh the existing website, adding a dev blog that, we promise, we will update more frequently than what we’ve done so far. The second one is that we’re now looking not for beta tester, but for 3d artist, with knowledge about Unity or 3D Studio Max or Blender, free time and a passion to share with us.
Our journey has not finished. It has just started.
Stay tuned!
Thanks for the update guys. I forgot about this one. Hope you find your 3d artist. All the best!

Good read. I will bookmark this. Thought gRally was no more, but glad it’s still alive and well.
